Following the professional meeting on 5th and 6th October 2008 at the George V Hotel in Paris, the King of Bahrain invited all those present at this meeting to his Kingdom and received them in the company of Her Majesty the Queen, their daughters and several ministers of the Bahrain government.

Mission in BAHRAIN - November 2006
Meeting at the Ministry of Municipalities to present the CNIM Group, the factory and references. Meeting with:
Mr Ali SALAH : Minister of Municipal & Agricultural Affairs.
Jeuma Ahmed AL KOABI : Doctor and Secretary-General for the Municipalities Ministry.
Mr Bob DOIG : British consultant from the Ministry. He is invited to see CNIM’s household waste incinerators in France.
The CNIM Group was selected to tender for a household waste incinerating plant with a capacity of 600,000 tons per year and 60 Mgw of energy production.
Negotiations in partnership with the CNIM group (Constructions Industrielles de la Méditerranée) in Toulon concerning the household waste incineration projects for the city of Jeddah which produces 4000 tons per day.

After several negotiations and meetings with the Saudi authorities, particularly with those responsible for the environment, Mr François Canellas sent a LETTER OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT to Mr AJROUDI.
Investment authorisation was given to CNIM SAUDI after several negotiations. CNIM SAUDI was registered in Saudi Arabia on 27th January 2007 with SAGIA, ALMADINA the Saudi newspaper interviewed Mr Ajroudi on 30th January 2007, to announce the news that will solve the environmental problems in Saudi Arabia.
Meeting with the Mayor of Jeddah, His Excellency Adel Fakih. The aim of the meeting is to present CNIM in order to get a preliminary go ahead and start investing in HWIU. Preliminary authorisation obtained.

The aim of Mr Ajroudi’s visit is to encourage the WEFIO partners who are responsible for the construction of Waste Energy Valorisation centre..
This centre treats 360 000 tons through 2 lines of 2 * 23 t/h to produce electricity by a turbo-alternator group of 37 MW.
155 million euros (6 billion rupees) have been invested in this project. .
On 7th September 2006 Mr Ajroudi and his delegation were invited by the Minister for Energy & Public Utilities, Mr Kassanaly, in order to develop the technical references of the industrialists present.
Mr Ajroudi stressed the importance of reducing the oil bill whilst finding a solution to the “Mare Chicose” problems and the possibility of treating hospital waste.

Following his meeting with the Minister for Energy, Mr Ajroudi was interviewed by Mr Jean Paul Arouff from Business Magazine. The interview has developed the delegation’s interest on a visit to Mauritius with an objective of investment and commercial exchange.
Mr Ajroudi was also interviewed by the Mauritian television channel “MBC1” on 11th September about the launching of the incinerator project. .
Mr GILLES CIMA was also interviewed. His role as Deputy Mayor for Cannes and organiser of the film festival and numerous conferences is a model on which Mauritian tourism could learn from.

On 10th September 2006 Mr Ajroudi and his delegation were invited by the Managing Director of Air Mauritius, Mr Nirvan Veerasamy, and the Marketing Director of Air Mauritius and organiser of the MAIDEN race, Mr Annop Madhow, to take part in the MAIDEN horse race organised by AIR MAURITIUS.
During the race Mr Ajroudi had the opportunity to meet the Race President, Mr Jean-Marie Giraud and the President of the Tourist Office, Mr Robert Devaux.

“WATER AND ENERGY FOR THE INDIAN OCEAN”
Un prince saoudien lorgne la production d’énergie
Produire de l’énergie à partir des déchets coûtera Rs 6 mds. Le prince veut le financer à condition d’obtenir un contrat sur 20 ans pour l’achat de l’électricité par le CEB. Le prince saoudien Abdullah Bin Fahad Abdulaziz Al-Saud donne son soutien à un projet de production d’énergie à partir des déchets. Il s’agit du projet de la Water and Energy for the Indian Ocean (WEFIO). Ce projet sera examiné dans les prochains jours par le High-Powered Committee du secteur énergie.
